Albania · May 2026 — present
A grassroots, Gen Z–led uprising against a multi-billion-dollar Kushner-linked luxury resort on Albania's protected Vjosa–Narta wetlands. This site is the open, community-run hub: protest dates, posters, photos, alerts.

Background
The Vjosa–Narta Protected Landscape on Albania's southwestern coast is one of the country's most important wetlands — a stop on the Adriatic flyway and home to flamingos, pelicans, and the wild Vjosa river delta.
In 2024 the Albanian government greenlit a luxury resort, marina and golf course on Pishë Poro beach inside the protected area. The developer is linked to Jared Kushner's Affinity Partners and former Trump envoy Richard Grenell, with an estimated $1.4 billion price tag.
On 23 May 2026, residents arrived at the beach to find it newly fenced off with barbed wire. They tore the fencing down. The Flamingo Revolution had begun.
